The aim of this work is to disclose the Marti' relationship with the flowers. Several theoretical and empirical methods were used in the interpretation of Marti's comments about flowers appear in all his works. Its passion for the flowers is not only manifested in his knowledge of their names, but in its interest to cultivate them, as it is observed in countless reviews, comments and references; hence, this study shows botanical descriptions made by José Martí of five plants (anturio, violet, cipripedio, diomea and vallisneria).
