Process evaluation of chemical reagents storage at the University of Camagüey

Abstract
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo evaluar la actividad del almacén de productos químicos de la Universidad de Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz. Para ello se aplican técnicas de análisis de procesos y logística de almacenamiento en la identificación de sus principales insuficiencias y la propuesta de alternativas de solución. Como resultado se evalúa la gestión de almacenamiento y del sistema de seguridad y salud en el trabajo, también elementos asociados a problemas de corrosión y contaminación ambiental. Además, se determina que no se garantiza la seguridad y salud de los trabajadores al no disponerse de los equipos de protección personal e individual, aspecto no considerado en el presupuesto del área, así como una insuficiente capacitación del personal. Se considera que el manejo más factible para los residuos peligrosos especiales ubicados en el almacén es la construcción de un relleno sanitario de seguridad con los requisitos establecidos por la normativa cubana.
