3D Surface Recunstruction and Comparaison System Used For Marking Local Defects of Tested Objects
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2009, Vol 50, Issue 1
Abstract
Nowadays automatic 3D acquisition systems allow building accurate models of real 3D objects in a cost- and time-effective manner. This technology was used in a particular application context: shape defects detection. Specific needs of this domain are: medium-high accuracy, reliability, and a short acquisition time. A low-cost 3D reconstruction and testing prototype system was designed, based on structured light which compares the reconstructed shape of the tested objects with the reconstructed shape of a reference object. The scanner architecture and the first results obtained by implementing a prototype used to mark local defects of tested objects are presented.

Implementation Issues For a Video Streaming Server In IEEE 802.11E Wlans
Recent years have seen a proliferation of real-time multimedia traffic over a more and more heterogeneous Internet. Video streaming at high, consistent quality over wireless links proves to be a difficult task. Several...
Aspects of Algorithm Development for Systems With Online Detection and Recognition of TV Commercials
The paper describes a series of research stages in the development process for an automated system, able to detect commercial brakes in TV signals, and recognize a basic set of logos form the TV commercials. First, the c...
Digital Implementation of Artificial Reverberation Algorithms
The paper presents the digital implementation of signal processing algorithms that simulate natural concert hall reverberation. It deals with the complete artificial reverberators proposed by Schroeder, Moorer and Gardne...
BER Performance Evaluation of a Mobile WIMAX System Over an ITU-R Pedestrian B Multipath Channel
A realistic modeling of the radio channel’s propagation characteristics proves to be extremely important, especially when one desires to perform an accurate design of a wireless communication system. In this paper, we ev...
Simplification Of A Link Performance Prediction Method Based On Mutual Information
In this paper, we propose a method to predict the block error rate performance of the wireless links in OFDM communication systems. Our approach relies on a performance prediction methodology that uses the mean mutual in...
