5th KARMIC, IGIMS, Patna, India : A Report
Journal Title: Journal of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Derived from Karma- the word- literally means deed or actions. All the great vedas and puranas have a description of it being a deciding criterion of fate in one's lifetime and even after death. Swami Vivekanda said, “Let there grow a KARMOYOG among the youth.” With great respect to the Indian culture, Indian Medical Students’ Association (IMSA) named its annual conference as KARMIC Karma is in itself a vicious cycle and so is our KARMIC- the largest International Congress of Indian Medical Students. And here the cycle was started by IMSA (Indian Medical Students’ Association) in 2012 by a few gifted Medical Students, and after the great success of KARMIC at Kolkata in 2012 it established itself as one of the largest and finest undergraduate conference across the country. This gave the UG students a platform to express themselves, come out of their shells and stand together on an international stage.
