A brief history of the development of laparoscopy and minimally invasive techniques

Abstract
Introduction. The idea of laparoscopic surgery was born at the beginning of the 20th century and has aroused great interest in medical circles around the world. Its rapid growth, good results it yielded, as well as huge popularity, has made laparoscopic surgery the standard surgical treatment method for many diseases. Aim. The purpose of this paper is to present a short history of laparoscopy and laparoscopic techniques: SILS and NOTES.
