A Chemometric Speciation Study of the Binary Ditopic Terephthalic Acid Dihydrazide and Divalent Metal Ion Systems in Aqueous Medium.
Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Applied Chemistry (IOSR-JAC) - Year 2018, Vol 11, Issue 3
Abstract
Chemical speciation study of the interaction of Terephthalic acid dihydrazide with H+ , Mn2+ and Co2+ was carried out using a potentiometric method of data acquisition followed by chemometric modeling methods of analysis. The ligand possesses two hydrazide chelating units and is therefore able to form monometallic and bimetallic species in different protonated, unprotonated and deprotonated forms. Several species of the type MmLlHh (m=1or 2, l=1 or 2 and h varies from 4 to -1 depending on m and l) were observed to be present in solution. Concentration distribution diagrams were generated using the HYSS program.

The Determination andRemoval ofHeavy Metals (Fe, Man, As) From Ground Water Using Iron Oxide Coated Sand (IOCS)
This study was undertaken to evaluate the performance of iron oxide coated sand (IOCS) as an adsorbent for the removal of heavy metals (Mn, Fe and As) from groundwater. The main parameters affecting this treatment proces...
A Computational Investigation of a Series Ofdimeric and Trimetric Tetrathiafulvalenes Using DFT Method
In this perspective article, density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to investigate themolecular stability and bond strengths of dimeric and trimeric tetrathiafulvalenes 1-4 by applying the natural bond orb...
The New Procedure of Isolation a Lycopene Compound in Tomatoes (Lycopersicum Esculentum) By Using Chloroform Solutions
Lycopene is a pigment that causes red color in tomatoes. This research successfully isolated lycopene by using chloroform solvent followed by antisolvent crystallization. The samples used were ripe tomato juice. Lycopene...
