Journal Title: European Journal of Business and Social Sciences - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Project selection is an important multi-criteria decision making problem for companies. The aim of this study is to apply the project selection process in a manufacturing company in the textile industy by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) methods. These methods are able to integrate both quantitative and qualitative information of alternatives. By using the model proposed, the decision makers may compare all the alternative projects and select the best one which meets the expectations of the company. Although the case study deals with the project selection problem, the combination of AHP and PROMETHEE methods can be applied succcesfully to other decision problems of a company.
