A Comparative Approach On Noise Estimation and Removal Through PCA, Median and Wavelet Filter
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
The use of the paper is organized as follows section type of noise can be introduced in an images noise estimation and noise removal on various digital images. Before analysis or using image to ensure the quality of image in image processing noise estimation and removal are very important step. Due to low contrast and high noise in an image most algorithms have not yet attained a desirable level of applicability. In This paper deals with image de-noising by using the PCA (principal component analysis), Median filter and wavelet analysis. The comparative analysis will then be performed based on the three parameters Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE) and Edge Preserving Index (EPI).
