WBANs for Patient Monitoring Systems: A Survey and Outlook
Journal Title: International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The WBAN has become one of the most researched areas for developing more reliable, accurate and efficient patient monitoring systems. Many researchers have proposed different approaches and schemes for building such monitoring systems. But the reliable transmission, latency, fast path recovery and re-routing are still some of the major issues that occurs in WBANs. This paper presents the survey of some proposed methodologies used for building wireless patient monitoring systems, the WBANs for patient monitoring systems implemented with different approaches, their advantages and limitations. It also discusses about some protocols which have been devised to increase the reliability of the WSN systems.
Risk Assessment of Lead Induced Toxicity Profiling from Toxicogenomics Data of Human Cell Lines
Heavy metal toxicity is a health menace and is posing a significant risk because of adulteration of drinking water and often associated with folk lore therapies. Lead induced toxicity poses considerable impact on the dev...
Reliable ECG Signals Based on GMM for Body Area Network
A distinctive and natural trust region for protected data transportations in wireless healthcare systems such as body area networks is provided by the blood flow system in a humanoid body. Regrettably, biometric signal c...
Modelling the Impact of Awareness Programs on the spread of HIV/AIDS
