Modelling the Impact of Awareness Programs on the spread of HIV/AIDS
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
The HIV/AIDS epidemic is a global issue. Awareness programs can bring together masses of people and enlighten them on this disease. In this paper, we propose and analyze a mathematical model to study the effect of awareness programs on the transmission of HIV/AIDS. Two steady states, namely the disease free state and the infected state are studied. Stability conditions are obtained for these two steady states. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the results.
