A COMPETENCY-ORIENTED TEACHING PHYSICS FOR PUPILS AND STUDENTS AS A METHODOLOGICAL PROBLEM

Abstract

The article presents the regulations governing the implementation competency approach into studying in school education; the differences between traditional and competency-based studying are revealed; the requirements for the competencybased educational process are indicated; the features of the subject, interdisciplinary and key competencies, that can be formed in the students’ studying of Physics, are identifi ed; the content of the program from the point of its orientation for competency approach in teaching Physics to school students was analyzed; selection criteria for teaching technologies in Physics aimed at forming competencies are presented; examples of technologies and vitagenic learning which provide activating and enriching life experiences of students are shown; their specifi cation for students activities are described, which involve studying Physics; an example of a Physics lesson based on the formation of all kinds of competencies for school students is given.
