Journal Title: Denizcilik Fakültesi Dergisi - Year 2015, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
It is important to determine the impacts of applied national and local policies of foreign trade, logistics, and transportation from the viewpoint of practicing successive policies much more to the point. Having this perspective, impacts of the policies in the historical process, and problem fields with their consequences are analysed via ‘Document Study’ data collection technique for the case of Mersin in this study. The overall findings reveal that expectations for simplification of regulations and bureaucratic implementations, improvement of organization and coordination, and continuous stability take the front lines with high frequency rates. The findings of the study are supposed to serve as a model for the regions implementing the policies to accomplish similar objectives.
