A Fantastic Narrative: "Tek Kanatlı Kuş"

Abstract
Yaşar Kemal who narrates Anatolian people in his works treated Anatolian people's fears and beliefs in a fantastic way in the novel of Tek Kanatlı Bir Kuş. Fantastic survives as long as the moment of ambivalency can be kept alive in works. The moment of ambivalency is provided with fear and uncertainty themes which reveal fantastic. Along with the development of the plot, the reader run into a contradiction about the reality of the things narrated. When these features are took into consideration, the analysis and examination of fantastic elements in Tek Kanatlı Bir Kuş in the context of fantastic fiction constitutes the main target of this work.
