A High Efficiency Design of LLC Resonant Converter for Data Center Applications
Journal Title: Gazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi Part C: Tasarım ve Teknoloji - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
In this study, high efficiency design approach for a LLC resonant DC-DC converter to be used in data center applications is proposed. In the design method, first harmonic approximation (FHA) is used for the optimization of the converter. According to optimization results, a prototype wit 48 V / 960 W output was built and soft switching operation of the converter prototype was tested for wide load range. The obtained maximum efficiency with the proposed method was measured as 94%.
