A Method of Power System Static Stability Analysis
Journal Title: Acta Energetica - Year 2016, Vol 26, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper reports on a study of changes in a power system’s operating parameters under a rise in its load. The results of these and similar studies may lead to an expansion of current views on a grid’s stiffness, its stability and conditions for power swings development in the system. Power swings are often the beginnings of widespread system failures.

Design of Transformers
In this paper the basic designing of high voltage power transformers has been described. The layout and construction of a high voltage and low voltage winding of transformers has been determined. The designing of a tank...
Influence of Power System on Operation of an HVDC Link. A Case Study
An HVDC link enables power and energy exchange between unsynchronised power grids. Large possibilities of controlling active power flows through such systems enable commercial transfers, as well as emergency power balanc...
Reduction of Air Pollutant Emissions from Medium-sized Combustion Plants
The paper highlights the need to adjust medium-sized combustion plants to the requirements of EU Directive 2015/2193 on the limitation of emissions. The results so far are presentations of reducing emissions of sulphur d...
Pseudo-random Simulation of Synchronous Interconnections of Polish and German 110 kV Grids
The is a study of the power supply of a separated portion of a 110 kV grid on the Polish side from the German 110 kV grid. The Polish and German power systems are interconnected by exchange lines on the level of 400 kV a...
Resonant Conditions in a Node with an SVC Compensator
The primary purpose of installing static shunt compensators in power grids is to improve the voltage conditions. Additional reactive power sources increase the system’s voltage stability and enable faster system recovery...
