A model of external customer attitude, sales performance, retail job traits, and employee role ambiguity

Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 6, Issue 9

Abstract

This paper develop and test a model of retail employee sales performance that differs from previous attempts by taking advantage of multi-dimensional conceptual interpretationsof possible preceding as well as anencouraging yet previously unexamined employee job policy external customer attitude. The results show that the traits of the retail employee’s work environment, with one objection, are directly relatedwith improved job attitudes and reduced ambiguity. The objection is that greater quantities of job independence arerelated with increased levels of ambiguity. Retail employee ambiguity respecting customers and external customer attitude are both related with sales performance.
