A MODEL OF FRETTING WEAR IN CLAMPED JOINTS

Abstract
The article proposes a mechanism for the development of fretting wear in clamped joint, based on the results of research conducted on the model of such a joint. The significant influence of such parameters as: the method of making this joint, the interference value and surface roughness on the development of this kind of wear was highlighted. These parameters determine the condition of the surface layer in the contact zone. It was stressed that the process of initiating the development of wear are adhesion phenomena.<br/><br/>
