A new similarity measure for image segmentation
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 3
Abstract
We try to extract the component image virtually hidden in the principle image. Information theoretic quantities are used to measure similarity of images in a statistical frame work. Statistical method describes the texture in a form suitable for statistical pattern recognition. This is suggested from large primitives and fine structure of smaller primitives. Co-occurrence matrix method is used to edge frequency detection and separation. Here we appeal to the mutual information to bring out the component image from a complete image presentation.

A study on detecting and classifying underwater mine like objects using image processing techniques
Detection and classification of underwater mines among natural formations and debris along the sea floor is a tedious task. In order to overcome such scenario an automated computer aided detection and classification syst...
WaveCluster for Remote Sensing Image Retrieval
Wave Cluster is a grid based clustering approach. Many researchers have applied wave cluster technique for segmenting images. Wave cluster uses wave transformation for clustering the data item. Normally it uses Haar, Dau...
Literature Review on Patient Scheduling Techniques
Patients need to undergo several checkups, tests, surgery and treatments according to their illness. This paper describes the challenges of patient scheduling and patient scheduling techniques. An efficient scheduling te...
Design and Simulation of Circularly Polarized Compact Microstrip Patch Antenna for C-Band Applications
A probe-fed, slotted rectangular patch antenna has been proposed. Bandwidth enhancement has been achieved by suitably cutting slots into the rectangular patch, and efficiently exciting the slot by short circuiting the co...
Web Page Segmentation for Small Screen Devices Using Tag Path Clustering Approach
The web pages breathing these days are developed to be displayed on a Desktop PCs and so viewing them on mobile web browsers is extremely tough. Since mobile devices have restricted resources, small screen device users n...
