A new two-channel MEMS gravimeter of aviation gravimetric system

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of a new two-channel capacitive MEMS gravimeter (MEMS DCG) of the automated aviation gravimetric system (AGS). The relevance of researches, the possibility and expediency of using the new MEMS DCG as a gravimetric AGS is substantiated. The analysis of modern gravimeters, which are used during aviation gravimetric works, and the most promising scientific developments, is revealed, and their main drawbacks are described i.e. low accuracy of measurement; necessity of using complex procedures of filtration of the output signal of the AGS gravimeter; the lack of operational processing of information; nonlinearity of output characteristic; high cost (sapphire); complexity of construction; the presence of instrumental errors and errors from the action of vertical acceleration; low speed of information processing and others. The design and principle of the proposed MEMS DCG are described, a structural scheme is developed. The proposed design of the DCG ensures that there are no errors: from the residual non-identity of the structures of identical capacitive elements, from the influence of changes in temperature, humidity and pressure of the environment (instrumental errors), the elimination of the effect of vertical acceleration of the aircraft on the gravimetric display in two ways, completely eliminate the effect of errors caused by noise different origin (from capacitive communication, acoustic noise, etc.). A laboratory installation for conducting experimental DCG studies has been developed and described. Experimentally determined the error of the DCG in the laboratory, which coincides with the results of the digital modeling.
