A Performance Evaluation of Different Parameter in Wireless LAN Standards using Qualnet

Abstract

In recent year, wireless local area network have been developed and deployed in many wireless applications. The need for these devices is to communicate with each other effectively when the use of mobile call is increasing day by day. Thus, handoff has become important part of wireless communication. In this paper, single networks are analysed and compared by using Qualnet Simulator 5.0.2 v on the basis of performance metrics such as end to end delay, throughput, packet delivery ratio and jitter. This networks scenario is tested to provide qualitative assessment of their applicability and results are analysed by varying the number of wireless access points for different scenarios.
