Abstract
Tuberculosis may present as pulmonary or extra pulmonary disease. Involvement of spleen in tuberculosis occurs in military / disseminated form of the disease. However isolated splenic tuberculosis or solitary tuberculosis of spleen is very rare. When spleen is involved as an isolated organ, patient may have solitary tuberculosis or tubercular abscess. We present a case of tubercular multiple splenic abscess in a middle aged male from good socioeconomic background who presented with pain in left hypochondriac region and intermittent fever. He was treated successfully with splenectomy and anti tuberculous treatment. No primary focus of infection was detected in the lungs or any other organ.
