A REPRESENTAÇÃO SOCIAL DE EDUCAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES QUE TRABALHAM EM ZONA RURAL: DIFICULDADES E DESAFIOS

Abstract

This article approaches the education social representation of the teachers who work in the rural areas of the counties of Iranduba, Manacapuru and Novo Airão. The results have shown that the most likely central point of the social representation of these teachers are difficulties and challenges. Such evident difficulties in the teaching work in the rural areas is the starting point for the overcoming of the obstacles that are brought as challenges. We have used the idea-association technique, surveys, interviews and the focal group as well. The research has shown which are the pedagogical difficulties faced by the teachers, to which the graduation course is not enough to learn how to deal with them. Yet, we have clearly witnessed and understood that the government gives too little attention to the rural area population. However, all of these problems are turned to a feeling of belongingness that stimulates these teachers towards a more accomplished pedagogical action, pushing them to face and resist these defying situations.
