A REVIEW ON MRUTASHODHANA PADHATI WITH REFERENCE TO DEHADANA

Abstract

Rachana Sharir is the basic subject to students where they will study body and body parts in detail, this study is incomplete without doing dead body dissection. What the student study the theory part that part should be seen during dissection, without practical dissection knowledge, the subject is incomplete that is the reason Rachana Sharir subject is considered as a pillar subject to understand further subjects. Now a day’s most of Ayurveda colleges are facing the legal problem to do dissection and preserve the dead bodies, but when we see Sushruta Samhita we find dead body dissection done by acharya Sushruta, he mentioned in his Samhita. The state government issued the Gazette notification regarding the body donation by fallowing the Bombay Anatomy Act 1949. Dehadana is considered one of the important daana procedures, by the donation these peoples are helping to students for gaining better knowledge of anatomy, these students are the future doctors to treat every patient they should have basic knowledge of human body specially in surgery. In history also we find body donation.
