A REVIEW ON RASAUSHADHIS & PATHYA-APATHYA DESCRIBED IN THE MANAGEMENT OF PRADARA ROGA, GARBHINI ROGA AND SUTIKA ROGA W.S.R. TO BHAISHAJYARATNAVALI

Abstract
A healthy woman is the main root of a healthy family and society. In today’s world due to increasing mental stress and unhealthy dietetic habits leads to disturbance of social, physical and psychological aspects of life by which women develops menstrual abnormalities during reproductive age. These all factor further results in Garbhini Roga and Sutika Roga. Hence the treatment should be based on the use of drugs which having most influential effect on various diseases related to Garbhini and Sutika. So Rasaushadhis are known for quick results in smaller dosage. These medicines are useful in majority of difficult to cure disease conditions. The Rasaushadha dravya’s refers to the herbo-mineral or metal or mineral formulations use for therapeutic purpose. Ayurveda has holistic and scientific approach in health management. So it equally emphasises over Aushadhi and Pathya-Apathya to overcome the disease with a better approach. The present work aims to collect information on various Rasaushadhis and Pathya-Apathya described for the management of Pradar roga, Garbhini Roga & Sutika Roga metioned in Bhaishajyaratnavali.
