A simple Mathematical Fuzzy Model of Brain Emotional Learning to Predict Kp Geomagnetic Index
Journal Title: International Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applications in Engineering - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
In this paper, we propose fuzzy mathematical model of brain limbic system (LS) which is responsible for emotional stimuli. Here the proposed model is utilized to predict the chaotic activity of the earth’s magnetosphere. Numerical results show that the correlation of the results obtained from the proposed fuzzy model is higher than non-fuzzy models. Hence, the proposed model can be applied in real time chaotic time series prediction.

A Mitigation Technique for Inrush Currents in Load Transformers for the Series Voltage Sag Compensator
In many countries, high-tech manufacturers concentrate in industry parks. Survey results suggest that 92% of interruption at industrial facilities is voltage sag related. An inrush mitigation technique is proposed and im...
Comparative Study of Krill Herd, Firefly and Cuckoo Search Algorithms for Unimodal and Multimodal Optimization
Today, in computer science, a computational challenge exists in finding a globally optimized solution from an enormously large search space. Various metaheuristic methods can be used for finding the solution in a large s...
Dependability Assessment of the Railway Signalling Systems Based on the Stochastic Petri Nets Analysis
In this article, we propose a methodology to evaluate the performances of the railway signalling systems in terms of the availability. Firstly, level crossings in Morocco are presented. Secondly, a railway signalling sys...
Using Word Embeddings for Ontology Enrichment
Word embeddings, distributed word representations in a reduced linear space, show a lot of promise for accomplishing Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks in an unsupervised manner. In this study, we investigate if the...
