Dependability Assessment of the Railway Signalling Systems Based on the Stochastic Petri Nets Analysis
Journal Title: International Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applications in Engineering - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
In this article, we propose a methodology to evaluate the performances of the railway signalling systems in terms of the availability. Firstly, level crossings in Morocco are presented. Secondly, a railway signalling system ERTMS level 2 modelling is proposed .The human factor and network failures are also taken into account. Finally, this system performance evaluation is proposed in every state (nominal way of functioning, degraded mode, and failure mode).

Predicting Student Success in Courses via Collaborative Filtering
Based on their skills and interests, students’ success in courses may differ greatly. Predicting student success in courses before they take them may be important. For instance, students may choose elective courses that...
Classification of Wheat Types by Artificial Neural Network
In this study, the types of wheat seeds are classified using present data with artificial neural network (ANN) approach. Seven inputs, one hidden layer with 10 neurons and one output has been used for the ANN in our syst...
Solution for the Travelling Salesman Problem with a Microcontrollerbased Instantaneous System
The travelling salesman problem (TSP) is one of the most frequently researched combinational optimization problems. Despite its trivial definition, the problem is very difficult to solve. Therefore, it is categorized as...
Adaptive Control Solution for a Class of MIMO Uncertain Underactuated Systems with Saturating Inputs
This paper addresses the issue of controller design for a class of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) uncertain underactuated systems with saturating inputs. A systematic controller framework, composed of a hierarchically g...
Artificial Neural Network Models for Predicting the Energy Consumption of the Process of Crystallization Syrup in Konya Sugar Factory
In this study, artificial neural network models have been developed from the sugar production process stages in Konya Sugar Factory using artificial neural networks to estimate the energy consumption of the process of cr...
