A Spatial Domain Approach for Digital Image Watermarking Exploiting Colour Spaces

Abstract

In the era of digital technology, there is an imperative need to protect the ownership of digital information. Watermarking is one of the processes of embedding information in a cover object so as to prove the ownership of the multimedia like text, image, audio, and video, while steganography is the art of data hiding in digital media. This paper embeds watermark in two different phases. The first watermark is embedded by exploiting colour spaces while the second watermark is embedded exploiting spatial domain techniques. The watermark embedded in this paper is based on LSB and LSB2 techniques which use a secret key to increase the security of the watermark.
