A STAGE-BASED METHODOLOGY OF FORMING SENIOR PUPILS’ SINGING SKILLS IN THE EXTRA-CURRICULAR WORK

Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of a stage-based methodology of forming senior pupils’ singing skills in the extra-curricular work. The relevance of the problem is proved as nowadays the special attention is paid to the role of pupils’ musical and esthetic education as the personal development, the formation of the consciousness and ability to understand musical art take place in this process. The author discloses the main studies on the problem and, as a result, emphasizes that skills are the real object of psychological and pedagogical researches and are shown in a person’s activities and behaviour. The aim of the article is to reveal methods of forming the senior pupils’ singing skills, taking into account the growing role of pupils’ music and esthetic culture and their understanding of the musical art. The specifics of the pupils’ musical training while mastering certain singing knowledge and skills in the extra-curricular work is singled out. The peculiarities of development of senior pupils’ singing skills are determined taking into account the specifics of senior pupils’ psychophysiological and musical development. The designed methodology contains four interrelated stages of education: information and incentive, cognitive and evaluative, creative and performing, corrective and constructive ones. The identified stages are interrelated and require parallel use. At each stage of the pedagogical experiment, the goal is clearly posed, the appropriate methods of organizing the pupils’ learning activities are singled out, and the communication and interpenetration of all work areas are provided with the aim of forming senior pupils’ singing skills. The methodology has been checked experimentally. The experiment results show the positive dynamics in the levels of senior pupils’ singing skills. He author proves that these results are not spontaneous and the designed methodology is effective.
