A Standalone PV System with a Hybrid P&O MPPT Optimization Technique
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 6
Abstract
In this paper a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) design for a photovoltaic (PV) system using a hybrid optimization technique is proposed. For maximum power transfer, maximum harvestable power from a PV cell in a dynamically changing surrounding should be known. The proposed technique is compared with the conventional Perturb and Observe (P&O) technique. A comparative analysis of power-voltage and current-voltage characteristics of a PV cell with and without the MPPT module when connected to the grid was performed in SIMULINK, to demonstrate the increment in the efficiency of the PV module after using the MPPT module.

Numerical Analysis for the Oxidation of Phenol with TiO2 in Wastewater Photocatalytic Reactors
Phenolic compounds in wastewater (even at low levels) are found to be quite toxic to humans due to their carcinogenic effects. Photocatalysis has been widely studied for the removal of phenol from industrial wastewater....
Using Association Rules to Enrich Arabic Ontology
In this article, we propose the use of a minimal generic base of associative rules between term association rules, to automatically enrich an existing domain ontology. Initially, non-redundant association rules between t...
Statistical Modeling via Bootstrapping and Weighted Techniques Based on Variances
Multiple logistic regression is a methodology of handling dependent variables with a binary outcome. This method is becoming increasingly widespread as a statistical technique that represents a discrete probability model...
A Novel Structure for Vector Control of Symmetrical Six-Phase Induction Machines with Three Current Sensors
Vector control is one of the most popular multiphase induction machine drive methods due to its dynamic performance. Since all phase currents are needed in vector control drive, by increasing phase numbers, the number of...
Statistical Magnitude Analysis and Distance Determination of the Nearby F8V Stars
The present paper is of three folds. First, to provide some basic descriptive statistics parameters for the apparent and absolute magnitudes of the nearby stars of spectral type F8V stars. Second, to establish the freque...
