“A STUDY OF ALTERNATE BIOMARKERS IN HIV DISEASE AND EVALUATING THEIR EFFICACY IN PREDICTING T CD4+ CELL COUNTS AND DISEASE PROGRESSION IN RESOURCE POOR SETTINGS IN HIGHLY ACTIVE ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY (HAART) ERA
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF CLINICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC RESEARCH - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the causative agent in AIDS has been a challenge to medical fraternity from the time since it was first discovered in 1983. Traditionally HIV disease and progression, initiation of HAART and response to therapy is monitored by assessing in regular intervals (6 months) the T CD4+ cell counts and plasma HIV/RNA viral load. Resource poor, low and low middle income group countries still have no finances to acquire infrastructure and scientific technology to perform such tests. Very few studies are available that have demonstrated the role of alternate biomarkers that can be used to predict CD4 cell counts and thereby monitor HIV disease progression and HAART.
DETAILING THE SOFTWARE AIDED DESIGNING OF 3-D MODEL FOR MANDIBULAR RECONSTRUCTION: A CASE REPORT
The concept of using 3-D models in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery is not new. On 8 August 1984, Charles W ‘Chuck’ Hull got the patent for creating an apparatus that creates 3-D replicas. It took 10 more year...

TECHNIQUES FOR LOCALIZATION OF IMPACTED MAXILLARY CANINES RADIOGRAPHS; A NEW CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF LOCALIZATION
Maxillary canines are the second common teeth having potential for displacement from its normal position during eruption. The ideal challenge for treating the impacted maxillary canines is its localization. Many radiogra...
