The diagnosis of hyperdontia was made during clinical and radiographic examination with the help of panaromic, periapical, and occlusal radiography. All radiographs were evaluated on viewers in a dark room. Supernumerary teeth were assessed for their location, morphology, number and whether impacted or not. Results: Out of total 2812 patients 52 patients were having hyperdontia. Thus the prevalence of hyperdontia is 1.85%. Among them 55.77% were male with male: female ratio of 1.26:1. single hyperdontia was seen in 61.54% patients whereas 32.69% showed two hyperdontia. In majority of the patients (52%) the position of supernumerary teeth was angled followed by were vertical position (30.67%). In 54.67% patients the supernumerary teeth were located in maxilla. In 65.33% cases supernumerary teeth was impacted and in 34.67% cases it was erupted. Conclusion: Thus we conclude that the prevalence of hyperdontia was 1.85%. It was seen commonly among male.
