A Study Regarding The Abstract Specification Of The User Interface By Using USIXML And UIML Languages
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Human - Computer Interaction - Year 2009, Vol 2, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper proposes a study regarding the methods of abstract specification for a game user interface by using UsiXML and UIML descriptive languages. Certain aspects about the model-based interaction in the context of CADUI (Computer-Aided Design of User Interface) and the effective use of the modelling tools are presented.

User Interaction Techniques based on 3D Graphical Annotation in eLearning Environments
Multimedia eLearning resources (i.e. images, video files, and 3D models) allow the exemplification and intuitive representation of high complexity concepts. At the same time, the interaction with these resources cannot b...
Video Game Development Concepts
The paper represents a case study which provides an overview of the main concepts regarding the development of video games, and of the methods used by independent game developers to put these concepts into practice. The...
Depth Perception Evaluation of 3D Virtual Prototypes Using Imersive CAVE Systems
In this paper an experimental study that aimed depth perception of virtual prototypes in an immersive environment compared with the depth perception of virtual prototypes using 2D LCD monitor is presented. The experiment...
Theories and models for technology acceptance
The user acceptance of new technologies and systems is a topic of interest for many researchers working in various areas. In this paper we present the main theories employed in assesing the technology acceptance (theory...
User Interaction Techniques with 3D Particle-based Models
In order to develop flexible, highly-interactive applications we must ensure interaction between the user and modeled objects. Particle-based modeling introduces specific challenges with regard to interaction in the virt...
