Abstract

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY: Hypothermia in newborn baby is defined as a skin temperature of less than 35.5deg. C or core temperature of less than 35deg. C. The common causes of hypothermia are situations contributing to excessive heat loss, poor ability to conserve heat & poor metabolic heat production.
