Abstract
(About the Cultural Habits of High School Students in the North-Hungarian Region) The aim of our research, led in 2014, was to investigate the factors infl uencing the school achievement. Our investigation took place into the center of the North Hungarian region, and was justifi ed by several circumstances. Our research was conducted in the center of the North Hungarian region, in Miskolc. The region has one of the worst domestic competency test results, so we considered it important to look at the family background and cultural habits of Miskolc students, that have an impact on their school performance.
