A VIRTUAL INTERNAL BOND MODEL FOR HYSTERETIC MEDIA
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2011, Vol 56, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper, the properties of the hysteretic media are investigated via the virtual internal bond model (VIB) derived from the hyperelasticity with the integration of the 6–12 Lennard-Jones atomic interacting potential.

ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC NOISE FROM A MAIN ROAD CROSSING A CITY
The impact of road traffic on the environment is practically determined by a calculation procedure. Reliable calculation results require reliable sources determination. The theme of this study was to prepare the noise ma...
PERIODIC SOLUTION FOR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH SMALL PARAMETER
There is considered a class of non-linear differential equations and there is analysed the existence of the periodical solutions and the stability of this solutions for the case when the linear part is admitting periodic...
REACTION FORCES IN PARALLEL MECHANISM PAIRS
To calculate the links dimensions of a parallel mechanism, is necessary to determine the distribution of forces from its kinematic pairs. Also, the performance of such a mechanism can be evaluated after calculating the d...
ON A CONTROLLED COMPOSITE SEMI-INFINITE STRIP
The configuration for a semi-infinite strip with self tuning based control is presented in this paper. The semi-infinite strip is composed from a layer of main material, and another layer of piezoelectric material with C...
A NUMERICAL ASYMPTOTIC FORMULATION FOR THE POST-BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURES IN CASE OF COUPLED INSTABILITY
The analysis of slender structures, characterized by complex buckling and postbuckling phenomena and by a strong imperfection sensitivity, is heavily penalized by the lack of adequate computational tools. Standard increm...
