Abu Al-Husein Ibn Farkoun: Life & Contribution

Abstract

Abu Al-Hussein Ibn Farkoun was one of the most prominent figures of Arabic Literature from Andulas during the first quarter of the ninth century A.H. It is a well-known fact thatAndalus literature has an important part in the history of Arabic literature, in fact it is a natural extension of Arab literature in the East, Andalusia lived under the Islamic Arab rule for more than eight hundred years, and era full of events and glories compatible with the status of Arabs and Muslims, strengthened by their strength, and weakened by their weakness through their rule over it, which lasted for eight centuries (92 A.H-897 A.H), during this time it achived some great milestones, among them one of a great poet namely Ibn Farkoun, who grew up with the love of knowledge and literature. He has amazing style of Arabic poetry, in this research article we will try to elaborate on his life, works and contributions to Arabic Language & Literature.
