ACCEPTING CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Abstract

General literature: Importance of pre-school education ( with particular emphasis on children with learning difficulties ). Over view of the present pre-school education provision for children in the Republic of Macedonia. Methodology: Questionnaires were circulated to kindergartens to assess: 1. the present provision for pre-school children with learning difficulties in the Republic if Macedonia. 2. the attitudes of pre-school educators in accepting children with learning difficulties in kindergartens. Results: The results indicated areas for future development in the educational provision for pre-school children with learning difficulties in the Republic of Macedonia. In particular the study highlighted the attitudes of pre-school educators and their understanding of the needs of pre-school children with learning difficulties.
