INFLUENCE OF AGING ON THE PROPERTIES OF F-T WAX MODIFIED ROADWAY BITUMEN
This study aimed at evaluating the impact of short-term and long-term aging on the properties of road bitumen modified with low-viscosity agents. Two types of road bitumen were used as reference binders: 35/50 and PMB 45...
MIXED BIOMASS AS AN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY FUEL
The use of biomass as a renewable energy source is applicable in the production of electricity and heat. The main fuel is wood in the form of fragmented wood, edgings, whirlpools, wood chips, sawdust, briquettes and pell...
THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF MECHANICAL-BIOLOGICAL WASTE TREATMENT BY LCA METHOD
The computer program IWM-PL for the life cycle assessment (LCA) of waste was described. The environmental impact of the mechanical-biological treatment (MBT) technology was estimated. Final report shows that the analysed...
APPLICATION OF 1H-NMR RELAXOMETRY TO THE DETERMINATION OF THE WATER CONTENT IN CLAY SOILS
The NMR technique is widely used in polymer, chemical, and agrifood industries, as well as in many other fields of science and technology. This work presents results from the use of FID (Free Induction Decay) application...
OCCURRENCE OF PLATINUM GROUP METALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT AND THEIR USE
Monoliths that are part of the automotive catalysts include noble metals: platinum, palladium and rhodium, which acts as a catalyst. During the operation of these devices platinum group elements (PGE) are released into t...
