Acne Fulminans: Management for the First Contact Physician

Abstract

Acne fulminans or acne malignant isa rare skin pathology that presents in the form of painful, ulcerative, disfiguring acne, usually accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever or polyarthralgia. Arriving even in serious cases to cause bone injuries and alterations in laboratory tests. This condition is usually resistant to the antibiotics usually administered, which is why it is so important to have a multidisciplinary team that is in coordination for the care of affected patients
