Acrobatics and trampoline jumps in Polish research

Abstract
The focus of the paper is on the research into acrobatics which has been conducted since the beginning of the 1980s. The research involves: – biological determinants of progress in sports results in acrobatics, – psychological background for success in this discipline, – medical requirements or support in acrobatics, the effect of practising it, methodology and technique of particular acrobatic exercises, – humanistic rudiments of acrobatics, – developmental tendencies of sports equipment in acrobatics and its implementation, – teaching and training of coaches and instructors in acrobatics. The author recommends carrying out similar research into trampoline jumps owing to its rapid development.
