Active methodologies foster autonomous learning in university students

Abstract

Introduction: At present, university students must face a changing society without borders, the present investigation has as its main purpose to demonstrate the relevance of the use of active methodologies that promote growth, management of autonomous learning skills, including new tools for university training period. Materials and methods: The research was based on the quasi-experimental type, the information obtained before and after, on autonomous learning skills related to dimensions of expansion, collaboration, conceptualization, planning, exam preparation, participation. Results: It was demonstrated that the application of active methodologies that promote the growth and management of autonomous learning skills, this represents, university students will have more simplicity to acquire a miscellany of unpredictable understandings for the adequate performance of an established university academic occupation and with this will energize their learning by reaching their competencies. Discussion: The active methodologies and the management of autonomous learning skills, it is giving good results in the undergraduate in the universities, especially in Peru some faculties, professional schools are putting in practice to improve the level of knowledge of their students. Conclusions: The main problem faced in the research was to value autonomous learning skills, before and after its use, verifying that the largest number of students are at a medium-low level, while after the application an improvement was certified. in the students reflected in the percentages of the high and medium level.
