ACTIVITY OF PARACHUTE TRAINING DEPARTMENT’S CADRE (MECHANISED INFANTRY OFFICER SCHOOL) IN PARACHUTE SECTION OF MILITARY SPORTS CLUB „ŚLĄSK”

Abstract

The authors present a brief history of parachute sport in Poland, with special focus on the activity of the Parachute Section of Military Sports Club “Śląsk” in Wroclaw. The history of the Parachute Section starts in 1964 along with the beginning of parachute training at the Mechanized Infantry Officer School.The Parachute Section played an important role in the military parachute society for over 20 years, winning numerous national and international championships and competitions.The article can be useful to support lessons on Polish military history.
