Adaptive Method Using Controlled Grid Deformation
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper presents an adaptive method using the controlled grid deformation over an elastic, isotropic and continuous domain. The adaptive process is controlled with the principal strains and principal strain directions and uses the finite elements method. Numerical results are presented for several test cases.

Definition and discussion of the intrinsic efficiency of winglets
Three simple equations are derived to define the “Intrinsic Aerodynamic Efficiency of Winglets” independent of the horizontal extension of the winglet and independent of the winglet’s (relative) height. This Intrinsic Ae...
Study on aerodynamic resistance to electric rail vehicles generated by the power supply
Improving the traction performance of the electric railway vehicles requires an analysis to reduce their aerodynamic resistance. These vehicles cannot be set in motion without an external power source, which demonstrates...
Lamb Waves Tunning On Aluminium Plates for Structure Health Monitoring
The method for defects detection inside the mechanical structures, namely aerospace structures, using the Lamb waves is widespread because of its benefits: it is nondestructive, may reveal the presence and size of defect...
