Adaptive Method Using Controlled Grid Deformation
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper presents an adaptive method using the controlled grid deformation over an elastic, isotropic and continuous domain. The adaptive process is controlled with the principal strains and principal strain directions and uses the finite elements method. Numerical results are presented for several test cases.

Longitudinal Absolute Stability of a BWB Aircraft-Pilot System with Saturated Actuator Model
This paper deals with the analysis of the P(ilot) I(n-the-Loop) O(scillations) of the second category (with rate and position liming in the closed loop pilot-vehicle system), caused by the dynamic coupling between the hu...
A numerical solution for the equation of the lifting surface in subsonic flow including tunnel effects
We employ the images method to establish the lifting surface equation including tunnel effects. We obtain a 2d hypersingular integral and we utilize Gauss-type quadrature formulas to discretize it. Numerical calculations...
A novel hovering type of fixed wing aircraft with stealth capability
The tactical need for fixed wing aircraft with hovering capably has long been recognized by the military for two reasons: increased safety when landing on aircraft carriers and higher velocities that the ones obtainable...
Fabrication and testing of various sandwich composites
Industries like aerospace, civil construction and automation uses the sandwich composites widely due to their high strength at low weight. The face sheets and core of the composites play a vital role in the properties of...
Performance estimation on micro gas turbine plant recuperator
In order to accomplish a thermodynamic analysis of a micro gas turbine plant, while satisfying conditions related to different configurations, different input data sets and a series of imposed thermodynamic parameters, a...
