In the article based on the analysis of scientific positions, the understanding of the administrative and legal status of the public administration body is researched. Author’s definition of the administrative and legal status of the State Architectural and Construction Inspection of Ukraine is given. The elements of the administrative and legal status of the State Architectural and Construction Inspection of Ukraine are distinguished and investigated.
