This article considers the competence of the National Police of Ukraine. Based on the analysis of the norms of legislative and regulatory legal acts of Ukraine identified ways to improve police powers in the environmental field. The place and importance in the police system of the subjects of the administrative law protection of the envi- ronment and ecological safety in Ukraine.
