Aeromobile forces in missions abroad
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2014, Vol 6, Issue 4
Abstract
This article shows the role of Aeromobile forces during missions abroad. Firstly it will be explained how to understand the concept of “Aeromobile forces”. After that a short classification of missions abroad will be shown. Part I which is the main part of the article will introduce the using of helicopters Mi-17 and Mi-24 through the example from three different missions in Ethiopia, Chad and Afghanistan by showing their main tasks. Analysis included in this article should help with estimating capability of old types of helicopters. This chapter will raise an issue concern method for dealing with resistance. Last part will involve some costs explanation connected to helicopter operating costs. The conclusions contain the lessons learned from all missions mentioned in the article and some prospective possible solutions.

Wave-wave regular interactions of a gasdynamic type
Two gas dynamic analytic approaches [of a Burnat type / Martin type] are respectively used in order to construct two analogous and significant pairs of classes of solutions [isentropic pair / anisentropic (of a particula...
Acoustic characteristics of the flow over different shapes of nozzle chevrons
The objective of this paper is to present a comparison between different types of chevrons and their influence on the acoustic power level radiated by the flow over them. The comparison was performed using a two-dimensio...
A two-dimensional linear elasticity problem for anisotropic materials, solved with a parallelization code
The present paper introduces a numerical approach of static linear elasticity equations for anisotropic materials. The domain and boundary conditions are simple, to enhance an easy implementation of the finite difference...
Modeling of Target Tracking System for Homing Missiles and Air Defense Systems
One reason of why the guidance and control systems are imperfect is due to the dynamics of both the tracker and the missile, which appears as an error in the alignment with the LOS and delay in the response of the missil...
