Abstract
The article deals with the historical development of agricultural education in the south of Ukraine. Cultural and educational development of Ukraine during the activity of the Ukrainian Central Rada. The contribution of leading scientists of the Odessa University to the formation of higher agricultural education is analyzed. In particular, the formation of the Odessa Agricultural Institute in the early twentieth century. Information is provided on the first graduates of OSGI.
