Air Pollution and legal mechanisms, to deal with its problem at the national and international levels

Abstract
From the perspective of environmental law, any illegal acts that harm the environment and life on Earth are forbidden. This ban makes human society to committed national and international laws of environmental preservation to safe society from environmental threats. Although it seems that national and international societies have achieved a modest success, but efforts in this regard continues. One of those dangers that have extreme effects on human environments is air pollution which unfortunately is under the effects of population's growth and industrialization with no attention toward the concept of sustainable development and other factors. This behavior does not occur only in Iran, but should be considered as an international issue, and can be considered as a major concern for governments authorities. In this context the national and international laws related to air pollution in Iran and European Union has been examined. This paper introduces new strategies and shows the important role of cooperation at national and international levels.
