ALBANIANS ON THE WAY TO INDEPENDENCE
Journal Title: The Journal of International Social Research - Year 2013, Vol 6, Issue 26
Abstract
To free Albanians who had the greatest population among the Balkan Muslims from the reign of Ottoman Empire was a very crucial project for Europian countries, especially Austria, and Serbia. The successful outcomes of this project were dependent on the power loss of the Ottomans in the area. Accordingly, Albanian wish for independence from Ottoman Empire caused the end of Ottoman power in the lands. With this respect, Albanians who lived all around the Balkans were massacred, outcasted, and exiled.
