albumin nanoparticles: an interesting alternative for the controlled release of drugs
Journal Title: Periódico Tchê Química - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 30
Abstract
Nanotechnology presents a tool, which controls the nanoscale matter to change its physico chemical properties. The Nanotechnology application is varied, observing an increase in the pharmaceutical area. There are several methods of obtaining; the different nanoparticles obtained provide controlled and sustained release of the encapsulated compound as well as the biocompatibility of the body system. The biocompatibility an harmless ness depends on the polymer choice. In the present study we highlight the use of bovine serum albumin as a polymer, anorigin natural protein, homologous to human serum albumin Among the advantages of using this protein as a polymer for pharmaceutical nanotechnology, we highlight its easy obtaining methodology, besides the absence of toxic organic solvents and low cost to prepare them.
